After Acceptance 

Welcome to NTU.

We provide a summary of the admission procedures that you need to complete prior to and upon your arrival at NTU for those matriculating in Academic Year 2009-10. The following procedures have to be read in conjunction with the admissions package that you should receive by end June 2009. Please refer to the Admission Handbook included in the admission package for the detailed procedures and use the forms from the handbook.

Please ensure that your contact numbers and email address are valid. If there is any change, please inform via adm_intnl@ntu.edu.sg prior to your departure. Various confirmations such as Hall allocation, collection of hostel keys in case you arrive after office hours will be informed to you only via email.

Apply online for NTU Study Loan & Bursary, where applicable 1 to 30 June 2009
Apply for Hostel Accommodation online 4 May to 6 July 2009
Provide arrival information online

If you are arriving on weekends or after office hours, the International Student Centre will email the hostel check-in arrangement to you at least 7 days prior to your arrival

Check if you are required to take Qualifying English Test From 15 July 2009 (10am) onwards

Check and Accept Hostel Allocation End July 2009
Get guarantor to sign the Tuition Fee Loan hardcopy application form & TFL Letter of Offer in home country in the presence of a notary public or bank officer, where applicable. Prior to departure for Singapore
Authorisation Form of Medical Procedures are to be completed and duly signed by parent(s)/guardian or Local Guardian (if any) Prior to departure for Singapore
Appointment of Local Guardian Form Prior to departure for Singapore
Submit Student's Pass On-line Application & Registration (Form 16). Please refer to "Student's Pass Application" procedure. 12 June 2009 onwards
To prepare your arrival, please visit the International Student Centre (ISC) website Prior to departure for Singapore

 After Arrival at NTU  Deadline

Proceed to your allocated Hall General Office to check in, collect your hostel keys & deposit your luggage.

 

Report to International Student Centre (ISC) for a briefing on the administrative procedures to be completed. You are required to bring these documents for registration:

  1. Admission Letter
  2. Passport (with embarkation card)
  3. Authorisation Form of Medical Procedures and Appointment of Local Guardian Form

Submit Authorisation Form of Medical Procedures to ISC.
Submit Appointment of Local Guardian Form to ISC.

The earliest date of check in to the hostel is Monday, 3 August 2009. Students who wish to arrive earlier will have to arrange for off-campus accommodation.
Go for medical examination  
Open a bank account  
Submit Tuition Fee Loan application form to OCBC/DBS branch in Singapore, where applicable 1 May to 14 August 2009
Submit Interbank GIRO Application Form to Office of Finance 7 August 2009

Matriculate online and print subject timetable

Attend Orientation Talk for International Students organized by ISC Lee Kong Chian Lecture Theatre (NTU South Academic Complex), 4 August 2009, 2.00pm
Apply for Student's Pass at International Student Centre, International House

13, 14 & 17 August 2009

After completion of online matriculation and collection of medical examination report.

Attend Freshmen Welcome Ceremony at Nanyang Auditorium

5 to 7 August 2009
Apply for MOE Tuition Grant 12 to 28 August 2009
Collect Matriculation card To be confirmed
Execute signing of / Collection of MOE Tuition Grant Agreement 16 to 18 September 2009
Return duly completed MOE Tuition Grant Agreement 21 - 23 October 2009
