Sponsored Scholarships are donations/sponsorships provided by organisations in the industries.

Eligibility
  • Current undergraduates who have performed well academically and in other areas or incoming students with outstanding academic results are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
  • Eligible freshmen can submit their online application only two days after they have matriculated online.

The value of each scholarship ranges from $2,000 to $15,000 and is tenable only for the academic year awarded. The availability, eligibility and terms & conditions of the scholarships may vary from year to year.

Terms & Conditions
  • The scholar may not, without the approval of the University, hold any other scholarships, bursaries or awards concurrently (unless otherwise stated in the Terms & Conditions of each Scholarship).
  • Students participating in URECA and receiving a stipend must not hold any scholarships, bursaries or awards concurrently.
  • The Scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the University, the scholar’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory.
  • NIE trainee teachers who are in receipt of funding from the Ministry of Education in the form of salary, etc are also not eligible to apply.
Application Procedures

Applications are submitted online through StudentLink. The application period is from 10 August 2010 to 10 September 2010.

The selection of candidates for scholarships will be done by a Selection Committee. The Selection Committee shall consider the candidates’ academic records, their records of co-curricular activities and other criteria as specified by the donor of the scholarship.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified and if you are unable to attend the interview in person, we will not be able to consider you for the scholarship.
