General Requirements
You are a Polytechnic Diploma Holder or a Final Year Student one of the five local polytechnics in Singapore.

You should have a relevant diploma from one of the five local polytechnics in Singapore (see List of Acceptable Diplomas below)

  • Nanyang Polytechnic
  • Ngee Ann Polytechnic
  • Republic Polytechnic
  • Singapore Polytechnic
  • Temasek Polytechnic

Special Medical Conditions to Note
Students with certain medical conditions are restricted from applying for some programmes. Identify the special medical conditions.

MOE Tuition Fee Subsidy 
Singapore and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to apply for the MOE Tuition Fee Subsidy:

 Nationality  Entitlement
 Singapore Citizen 55% 
 Singapore Permanent Resident 20%

Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who fulfill the following requirements qualifies for the Ministry of Education Tuition Fee Subsidy:

  1. Have not previously received a government subsidy/scholarship for a first degree; and
  2. Be at least 21 years of age; and
  3. Have either 2 years of full-time work experience or is currently employed on a full-time basis.

(Part-time employment will not be considered as full-time work experience. A part-time employee is one who works for less than 30 hours a week, under contract of service with an employer)

Fresh graduate students who are enrolled are required to secure a technical job within 2 years from commencement of study if they have not done so. The schools will assess each individual application for MOE Tuition Fee Subsidy separately.

Step 1: Submit application form

Application to NTU is done online by submitting an electronic application form during the application period. You are required to submit only one (1) electronic application form.
There is no hard-copy application form.

To begin, please download the application guide to help you fill up the form fields on the online application.

Your online application has been submitted successfully if

  1. an Application Status Menu showing your application number and a summary of application items required to be completed by you is generated;
  2. an acknowledgment of your application is forwarded to your email address(es) you have provided in the online application form.

Take note of the unique application form; starting with PP0xxxx, assigned to you.

Step 2: Pay application fee

                                                                                  
Application Fee is S$65 if you are paying cashless via internet and DBS/POSB Automated Teller Machine (ATM), and S$70.00 if you are paying by Cash or NETS

Payment can be made using one of the following methods:

  • Internet Payment by VISA or MasterCard at the Application Status Menu
  • Via DBS/POSB Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Singapore
  • Cash/NETS through Office of Finance at NTU Student Services Centre, Level 3

Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents                                                               

Required supporting documents are to be uploaded to our website under the “Application Status Menu.” Please see samples of Polytechnic Results formats required (They are to be uploaded from earliest examination date to latest examination date; i.e. from 1st semester – 6th semester (if applicable)).

Login here to check and access your “Application Status Menu”

To put all results into one document, please do the following:
1.     Do a print-screen of your document
2.     Paste it to Microsoft Word.
3.     Once you have pasted all the required documents into the file, you can then save the file.
4.     Kindly ensure that the Microsoft Word application is closed before you upload the documents to us.
Alternatively, you can also scan and saved the required results in pdf format.

If you encounter any issues uploading your file(s) while using Internet Explorer browser, you may wish to use other browsers like Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari.  

As you are allowed to upload only one file only once for each item, ensure you have sorted, scanned and saved all related and relevant pages of your documents in a single file in Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word file format before you upload.  Each upload should not exceed 5 MB.

Your supporting documents should reach our office within 3 working days from the closing date.

Step 4: Update/Track Progress of Application

By accessing or re-login to the Application Status Menu you can

  1. View and Check your application fee payment status and supporting documents submission status.
  2. Update or Submit (if you have not applied earlier) for MOE Tuition Fee Subsidy if you are Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident before closing date

You will be notified of your application result in writing via letter posted to your mailing address stated in your application form. You will also receive the Matriculation package if your application is successful.

For applicants who are unsuccessful in their application and wish to appeal, they may send in their appeal letter to adm_local@ntu.edu.sg and provide the following information:

  1. Name of applicant
  2. NRIC/FIN/Passport number
  3. Application number
