Supporting Documents

(A) Please read and understand first the contents on How to Apply webpage before you start your application process.

(B) You must upload electronic copies of your supporting documents via the paperless portal. Do not send paper copies of supporting documents to the University. Documents uploaded must be in English. Otherwise, they must be accompanied by certified translations in English language.


(C) General Information on Supporting Documents
 

1. Personal Detail (in English)

 

1.1. Passport/Identification card

A copy of the personal particulars page of your passport or identification card.

 

1.2 Mailing Address for postal services

Must be a valid address that allows letters to be sent there for the next 6-9 months.

If you are unsure of your mailing address, please check with your local postal office.

 

2. One recent passport-sized colour photograph

·         Image must be taken within the last 3 months

·         Photograph must be in colour and taken against a white background with a matt or semi-matt finish

·         Image must show the full face

·         (Headgear worn for religious reasons are accepted but must not hide facial features)

 

3. Photocopy of valid TOEFL/IELTS/GRE/GMAT/GATE Scores

If you are in the process of waiting for the original official test score sheet to be mailed to you by the Test Centre, you can submit the printout of the online test score during application stage.

 

Please keep the original Official Test Scores with you as they may be required for verification upon admission.

 

Applicants who obtained their Bachelor degrees from NTU or NUS are exempted from these scores, unless it is a requirement of the programme/Scholarship/Fellowship/Award that you wish to apply.

 

4. Master's Degree (if applicable)

 

4.1 Official Transcripts*

a. Original Language

b. Official translation in English (if original is not in English)

c. Grading or marking scale of the Transcript (Interpretation of Grades/Marks)

 

4.2 Photocopy of Master's Degree Certificate

a. Original Language

b. Official translation in English (if original is not in English)

 

(Translation can be done by the Home University or any official authorized parties)

 

5. Bachelor Transcript and Certification (if applicable)

 

5.1 Official Transcripts*

a. Original Language

b. Official translation in English (if original is not in English)

c. Grading or marking scale of the Transcript (Interpretation of Grades/Marks)

 

5.2 Photocopy of Bachelor's Degree Certificate

a. Original Language

b. Official translation in English (if original is not in English)

NOTE on items 4 and 5

 

-          Applicants who are obtaining their degrees from NTU can submit their degree audits for the application

 

-        Official Transcript*
A copy of official transcript with detailed academic results is required from each university attended. It should show the university name with the official stamp or it should be certified and translated by the university. The transcript results should show marks obtained in each subject and not just grades obtained, wherever possible.

 

               *        Applicant may submit the certificate true copy of the Transcript in replace of the Official Transcript (Certification should be done by the University which issued the transcript).

 

               *        If the transcript is in a language other than English, please provide an official English translation as well and the subjects in the translation should be listed in the same order as that of the original transcript (label the transcript if need be).

 

               *        The applicant is responsible for requesting transcripts from his/her university or universities.

 

 

7. Two Academic Referees' Reports

 

 

·         Before you provide the name and email address of your referee, please ensure that they had already agreed to fill out the online referee report form for your NTU application.

 

·         Provide the name and institutional email addresses of two (2) academic referees.

 

·         The Referee email address must be an Official institutional email address. ( email address given by his University or organization, etc).

 

·         Email address given by the free-email provider will not be accepted (eg email address given by hotmail, gmail, yahoo, qq, etc).

 

·         Upon submission of the online application, it will auto-activate an email to the respective Referee to  notify them to complete an online Referee Report.

 

·         It is important to key in the correct email address for your Referee, as changes could not be made to the online application after its submission.

 

·         Do ask your Referee to look out for the email and complete it within 7 working days upon receipt (advisable to check email's junk or spam folder due to settings of individual email account).

 

·         The email will contain login ID and password for your Referee to complete the online Referee Report Form.

 

·         Once your Referee has completed the online Referee Report, your application will be considered as completed and it will be sent to the School.

 

·         In the event that online referee report is not completed within the given deadline, an auto-email will be activated to notify applicant to re-nominate the same/other referee via the application link.
