Non-graduating students are students who have been admitted to read specific courses which do not lead to the award of a degree. They are normally admitted for duration of not more than one academic year. They are not matriculated/registered students of NTU. They must be a matriculated student of a university at the point of application and admission.

There are 3 categories of non-graduating students:

Local Exchange Students
These are students under the Singapore Universities Student Exchange Programme (SUSEP). Under this programme, students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore Management University (SMU) are able to broaden their learning experience through opportunity to study a few courses or even one semester in NTU.

International Exchange Student
These are students under the International Student Exchange Programme (INSTEP) administered by the International Relations Office. INSTEP refers to the exchange of undergraduate students between NTU and overseas universities on the basis of a bilateral agreement for academic studies or projects over one or two semester duration.

Fee-Paying Students
These are students who do not fall into the above categories and wish to join NTU as fee-paying students by applying through our Office of Academic Services.
