11 January 2010 ~ 07 May 2010 (17 weeks)

NTU Academic Unit System

NTU's courses are assigned credits based on the Academic Unit System. For a typical one-semester course, the number of academic units is calculated as follows:
a) One (1) hour of lecture / tutorial per week         : 1 AU
b) Three (3) hours laboratory / fieldwork per week : 1 AU

Workload per semester  A maximum of 20 AUs per semester (approximately 4-5 courses)
Course Selections

Exchange students should select at least ten (10) undergraduate &/or postgraduate courses at application stage for approval. This is to ensure that you have adequate number of approved courses prior to arrival in NTU

If you do not have enough approved courses, or choose to apply for new course(s) to read after your arrival in NTU, course approval shall be subject to vacancies available and pre-requisites. It shall not be guaranteed that you will be offered the course(s) and your course registration will be delayed.

Exchange students are strongly encouraged not to deviate from the list of approved courses. Please select courses which are deemed necessary by your home university for yiour academic progression.

Academic Transcripts

Exchange students' academic transcripts will be mailed directly to their home institutions within two (2) months after the end of the semster

A copy of the academic transcript will be e-mailed to the Study Abroad Office of the partner university for file
