On-campus accomodation shall not be guaranteed to exchange students. Students must be prepared to live off-campus should their application for on-campus accomodation be unsuccessful.
Exchange students shall only be able to apply for on-campus accomodation upon receipt of their E-Acceptance Package, through the Exchange Portal.
Due to limited on-campus accomodation, hall assignment priority shall be given to exchange students on course work, and allocation of halls shall be subject to availability, through random balloting system.
Should you be successful in securing on-campus accomodation, housing will be in one of our 16 undergraduate Halls of Residences based on double occupancy, where only 10 Halls have air-conditioned rooms. However, all rooms have ceiling fans.
The 16 Halls of Residences are built at different periods of time with a couple of them dating back to 1970s. Students have to be preapred to accept the different designs and structures of Halls/rooms. While the designs and furnishings of the older Halls are not modern and up market, they are usually kept clean.
Hall assignments are allocated randomly, and request for room mates or transfer of Halls shall not be entertained. Students with medical conditions and have specific requests will have to submit a doctor's letter certifying the condition which will be verified by NTU Medical Centre.
For students unsuccessul in their application for on-campus housing, they shall be recommended off-campus accomodation at hostels located within short bus rides to NTU.
More details on our on-campus accomodation can be found here
Note: Students coming on Research Projects or Work Experience Programmes shall be recommended for off-campus accomodation in view of the varied project dates. |
