If you want a taste of the working world, an iXchange Work Experience Programme (WEP) is the answer. We will endeavour to match your interest and preferred industries with a work attachment, giving you an excellent headstart when you head out to work - especially if you choose to carve your future career in Asia.
As the crossroads of east and west, Singapore offers the ideal work environment with its multi-cultural and cosmopolitan setting. Widely acknowledged as having one of the best business environments in the world, ths island plays host to more than 7,000 multi-national corporations (MNCs)
The WEP is for a minimum of three (3) months. Students may choose to work during the summer holidays or Semester 1 (August to December) without credit and Semester 2 (January to June) with credits. The WEP may qualify for credit only if it is a course requirement for graduation at your home university.
CRITERIA:
 |
š This programme is open to undergraduate students only
š The Work Attachments (with credits) and Work Experience Programmes (without credits) are full-time attachment programme. This means that you cannot register for any academic subjects during the attachment period
š Work Period:
a) For students who register for Work Attachment (with credits), the period of attachment must follow our NTU academic calender:
- Semester 1 (Fall) : August ~ December
- Semester 2 (Spring): January ~ May
b) For students who register for Work Experience Programme (without credit), you have the flexibility to decide on the period of work internship. It is recommended that the period of internship should not be less than 3 months (12 weeks), as it would be difficult to secure a suitable placement for a short duration.
š Once you have accepted the offer from the organization, you must complete the entire period of attachment as agreed
š Each successful work placement will be counted towards one (1) unit of exchange, unless otherwise specified
