Bursaries by NTU, MOE, Private Individuals & Organisations 

Who is eligible?

  • Full-Time Programme: All financially-needy students pursuing their first undergraduate degree are eligible.
  • Gross monthly Per Capita household Income (PCI) of less than or equal to $1,700 per month.
  • A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the University / Donor. The number of bursaries available to Singapore PRs and International students is limited.
  • Students receiving the bursary must not concurrently hold other bursaries or scholarships.
  • NIE trainee teachers whose tuition fees are paid by MOE and/or are drawing salary/stipend from MOE are not eligible to apply.

Gross income of family members in household 

Total number of family members in household 

               Gross income refers to amount before deduction of CPF. It includes allowances, overtime, commissions etc.

  • S$800 and above per award.
  • Bursary is tenable for one academic year.

Repayment

Not required.

How to apply

Existing students:

  • Apply online through StudentLink during the application period.
    • For NTU students, please login to StudentLink for application.
    • For NIE students, please login to NIE StudentLink for application.
  • Submit supporting documents in person or by post within 7 calender days upon your online application.
  • A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the donors. The number of bursaries available to Singapore PRs and International students is limited.
  • Outcome of your bursary will be informed to you via your NTU Student Email Account by 14 August 2009.
  • Funds will be disbursed to successful awardees by end November 2009.

2009 Freshmen (Enrolling into NTU in AY2009-10):

  • After you have obtained your NTU Matriculation Number, the "NTU Online Acceptance Form" will be available to you. The bursary application link can be found in this "NTU Online Acceptance Form".
    (For international students:   If you don’t have a Singapore Contact Address yet, please fill in “Not Available” into the Singapore Contact Address fields.)
  • Submit supporting documents in person or by post within 7 calender days upon your online application.
  • A bursary may be awarded depending on your financial situation and criteria set down by the donors.
  • Outcome of your bursary will be informed to you via your NTU Student Email Account by 14 August 2009.
  • Funds will be disbursed to successful awardees by end November 2009.

2009 Freshmen (Enrolling into NTU in AY2009-10):

  • After you have obtained your NTU Matriculation Number, the "NTU Online Acceptance Form" will be available to you. The bursary application link can be found in this "NTU Online Acceptance Form". The bursary application will be opened as follows:
    • For Singaporean students:  1 June 2009 to 15 July 2009
    • For Singapore PR and International students:  1 June 2009 to 30 June 2009
