The Khoo Teck Puat Scholarship Programme is supported by the Khoo Teck Puat Education Fund (launched by the Estate of Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat on 18 Dec 2007). This programme aims to award scholarships to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and have done well academically to pursue their undergraduate studies in NTU.
The scholarship is tenable for an undergraduate degree programme leading to a first degree on a full-time basis at NTU.

Citizens of Singapore and People’s Republic of China (PRC) are eligible to apply for the scholarship. |

Eligibility criteria |
Local Applicants (Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' Level / NUS High School Diploma / International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma from ACS (Independent) & ACS (International) / Polytechnic Diploma)
- Per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below
- Outstanding academic results
- Excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records
- Strong leadership qualities
International (PRC) Applicants
- Per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below
- Outstanding academic results in the National College Entrance Exam (NCEE) or Gao Kao
- Excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records
- Strong leadership qualities

Eligible programmes |
The scholarship offered covers the minimum duration of all NTU full-time undergraduate programmes except for Biomedical Sciences & Chinese Medicine and NTU-Georgia Tech Integrated Programmes which covers only for the first three years in NTU.

Coverage |
The scholarship covers the following:
- Tuition fee directly payable by students (after Tuition Grant)
- Living allowance of S$5,800 per annum
For PRC awardees only (in addition to the above):
- Annual accommodation allowance pegged to the lowest room rate.
- Airfare (one-way air passage from PRC to Singapore at the beginning of the course and two-way air return passage from Singapore to PRC upon graduation)

Bond |
There is no bond attached to The Khoo Teck Puat Scholarship Programme. PRC awardees are required to take up the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme and serve a 3-year bond under the Scheme upon graduation. |

The scholarship application procedure will follow the application for admission procedure of the respective application categories.
In addition, you are required to submit a recent passport-size photo (digital image) and an appraisal.

Other notes |
- The scholarship covers the normal duration of the undergraduate studies on condition that scholars maintain a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.5 over 5. The academic performance is monitored on a semestral basis.
- Scholars who require additional semester(s) to complete their studies are required to fund their own studies for these additional semesters.
- If the scholar decides to terminate the scholarship prematurely, he/she is required to refund the total value of the scholarship that is accorded during the course of study, including a compounded interest of 10% per annum.
- False information or willful suppression of material facts will render your application disqualified, or if the scholarship is awarded to you, the award will be invalid and you will be required to pay back the amounts received.
- A recipient of the scholarship may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, grant or award.
