The OCBC International Undergraduate Scholarship 

The OCBC International Undergraduate Scholarship, established in 2005, provides outstanding undergraduates from People's Republic of China (PRC) and Indonesia with opportunities to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Who is eligible?

Citizens of People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Indonesia are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Eligibility criteria

  • Outstanding academic results
  • Excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records
  • Strong leadership qualities 

Eligible programmes

All undergraduate programmes leading to a first degree.

 

Coverage

The scholarship covers the following:

  • Tuition fee directly payable by students (after Tuition Grant)
  • All other approved fees
  • Living allowance of S$7,000 per annum
  • Air passage from home country to Singapore upon award of scholarship and from Singapore to home country upon successful completion of the degree
  • OCBC Group will offer internship opportunities to provide you with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in the Bank

 

Bond

No bond is required apart from the 3-year bond applicable to all foreign students under the Tuition Grant Scheme. OCBC Group may offer you employment opportunities, based on merit.

Application procedure

  • Submit your online application for admission to NTU
  • Apply for the scholarship with your assigned application number
  • Upload a recent passport-size photo (digital image) 

Photo specifications will be stated at the end of the scholarship application form.

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview scheduled in mid-July 2009 in Singapore. The decision of the University and OCBC Bank on the selection of OCBC International Undergraduate Scholarship recipients is final.

Other notes

  • The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period leading to a first degree.

 

  • You must not hold any other scholarship, fellowship or award without prior approval of the University and the Bank.
