New Undergraduate Students

Who is eligible?

Citizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Eligibility criteria

• Outstanding academic results
• Excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records
• Strong leadership qualities
• Must also demonstrate strong interest and passion in a career in the media industry upon graduation 

Eligible programmes

Bachelor of Communication Studies.

Coverage

The scholarship covers the following:

• Tuition fee directly payable by students (after Tuition Grant)
• Living allowance of S$6,000 per annum

Bond

There is no bond attached to this scholarship apart from the 3-year bond applicable to Singapore Permanent Residents under the Tuition Grant Scheme.

Application procedure

The scholarship application procedure will follow the application for admission procedure of the respective application categories.

In addition, you are required to submit a recent passport-size photo (digital image) and an appraisal.

The scholarship application form can be found at the link 'Application for Scholarship' at the end of your online application for admission. You are required to login with the application number assigned to you.

Photo specification will be stated at the end of the scholarship application form.

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified for an interview by end May each year.

Other notes

• The scholarship covers the minimum duration of the undergraduate studies (i.e. 4 years) on condition that the scholar maintains a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 4 over 5. The performance is monitored on a semestral basis.

• The scholarship may be terminated because of poor academic performance or on disciplinary grounds.

• Applicants must not hold any other scholarship, fellowship or award without prior approval of the University.
