General admission requirements

You are a Polytechnic Diploma Holder or a Final Year Student from a local polytechnic in Singapore.

• You should have a relevant diploma from a local polytechnic in Singapore (see list of acceptable diplomas below).
• If you have a Certificate of Merit, Diploma with Merit or Diploma with Distinction, you may apply for any programme in NTU, regardless your diploma.

Under the current admission criteria, the University Score will be computed as follows:

Programmes opened to all local Polytechnic Diploma holders

Applications for the following NTU programmes are opened to all local Polytechnic Diploma holders regardless of the diploma obtained from NP, NYP, RP, SP and TP:

List of acceptable diplomas

You can access the complete list of acceptable diplomas that correspond to the NTU Degree Programmes that you are eligible to apply. Click on your polytechnic from which your diploma was/would be obtained:

• Nanyang Polytechnic
• Ngee Ann Polytechnic
• Singapore Polytechnic
• Temasek Polytechnic
• Republic Polytechnic
• Other Institutions

Nanyang Polytechnic

The diplomas listed in the table below are accepted for applications for our programmes that are opened to all local Polytechnic Diploma holders:

The diplomas listed in the table below are accepted for applications for our programmes as listed, in addition to the programmes that are opened to all local Polytechnic Diploma holders:

1. Direct entry to the second year of the programme
2. Applicants with relevant diploma may be granted selective exemption from the first year subjects
3. Direct entry to the second year is by merit
4. And at least a good pass in SPM/GCE 'O'-Level Chinese
5. Applicants to programmes in School of Computer Engineering may have module exemptions.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic
